Fabulous Friday Finds!

I have been wanting to add a new section to my blog… Focusing more on some of the awesome fashions that are out there for brides, grooms, babies, moms, and anyone else that might stumble across my blog and need a little inspiration.  While dreaming up this idea, I envisioned finding all these amazingly beautiful creations made by highly artistic people and everything being glorious.

But then I realized that I have very little fashion sense.  Don’t get me wrong, I know what I like… but my sense of style is very… me.  It doesn’t usually fit together with anyone else, and it definitely won’t work for a fashionista…

Then I realized, I have contacts.  My dearest friend ever, Meg, is ALWAYS finding adorable things on Etsy.  Etsy is all gold and shiny for her.  It’s like she logs onto the site and her computer just knows where to take her to the prettiest things… So I enlisted her help. She agreed, and the idea of Fabulous Friday Finds was born…

Pretty Listening: I and Love and You by The Avett Brothers

Sources: The CW & USmagazine.com

I have been completely smitten with crystal headbands since Blake Lively sported her elegant creation on Gossip Girl and reaffirmed my love when Sophia Bush donned one in her TV wedding debut on One Tree Hill. These beauties, complete with their pretty detailing and bit of sparkle, add so much to a perfectly coiffed or messy updo; and as Sophia proves, pair beautifully with a veil.  The innate simplicity of the band creates an ethereal and elegant look that perfectly complements the femininity of a wedding gown. I’m quite happy to send a big thank you out to Hollywood for bringing this style mainstream so we can all add a bit of glamour to our special day.

Here are a few of my online favorites.

To find these beauties:

one * two * three * four * five * six

Special thanks to Maris from IngenueB.etsy , Amanda from Untamed Petals, and Tessa from TessaKim (with photography by Candice Benjamin and Marilyn Nakazato) for use of their images… and for their insanely creative talent and gorgeous designs… Seriously, check out their shops for more amazing work!
